A Flavor Experience

Since 2018, Vanilla Moose Coffee has been through a roller coaster of changes: a kiosk, a coffee trailer, and a cafe. However, through all of that change and experimentation, one thing has remained constant: our love and passion for coffee.

We have partnered with the best roaster we could find and strive to deliver the smoothest cup of coffee imaginable. Through an air-roasting technique, you'll notice a surprising lack of bitterness and enhanced flavor notes.

Everything in our coffee process is geared towards the goal of providing a coffee experience, not just a "cup of coffee". Enjoy!

The Vanilla Moose Story

Vanilla Moose Coffee has been a passion project (side hobby) of mine for the last 6+ years. The business has had many forms throughout the years and has given me an outlet to learn the coffee industry and gain a greater appreciation for the lifecycle of a coffee bean.

Coffee is one of the most complex drinks in the world, and you could spend a lifetime exploring it and still not know everything. But the goal has never been to have complete knowledge, rather become a master of the experience. Learning how to taste notes and distinguish regions.

Hopefully, through Vanilla Moose Coffee, you are able to taste notes and roasts that you have never experienced and grow your appreciation of coffee, as well.

Air-Roasted. Never Bitter.

What makes our coffee special? It's all in the roast.

We mentioned above that our partner roaster uses an air-roasting technique. What does that mean for you?

An electric fluid-bed (air) roasting process lifts and roasts the beans on a stream of hot air instead of tumbling them in a hot metal drum.

During the roast, the chaff naturally separates and is removed before it can add harsh notes to the coffee. This helps prevent bitter, smoky flavors and keeps the cup clean and smooth.

Using an air roasting process, you can expect coffee that has clearer tasting notes, a higher quality, and a smooth, balanced flavor.

What is Specialty-Grade?

Specialty-Grade Reduces the Risk of Mycotoxins!

Specialty-grade coffee represents the top 10% of Arabica beans globally. Evaluated by certified graders, it must score 80+ points on a 100-point scale and have zero primary defects, offering exceptional traceability and flavor clarity.

While specialty-grade coffee is not explicitly certified or guaranteed to be mycotoxin-free unless specifically lab-tested. However, its strict production standards naturally drastically minimize mycotoxins compared to commercial coffee. This is due to a low moisture ratio in the drying process, which helps prevent mold and fungi.
