About the Antioquia Region of Colombia
Known as the birthplace of Colombian coffee, Antioquia has the most coffee-producing farms of any region in the country, about 316,000 acres worth. With an elevation ranging from 3,900-5,600 feet, the main varieties of coffee found are Typica, Caturra, and Castillo.
